Russia to increase cultural autonomies' role in politics - Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin says cultural autonomies should play a more important role in the federal policy towards ethnic minorities.

The president has ordered the federal government to draft a certain programme that will encourage such participation in politics, the Kremlin's official website reports on Monday.
