Kadyrov denies rumors about conflict within Chechen armed forces

Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov has dismissed as a lie an article about an internal conflict in the armed forces of the republic, RIA Novosti reports.
The article, published by a Moscow paper, was devoted to a special force operation carried out in February in the Urus-Martan region of Chechnya. The republic's military forces were joined by servicemen from the Chechen battalion "Sever" in an operation against militants. Several servicemen were killed, and the newspaper expressed the opinion that the soldiers had died due to the betrayal of their Chechen counterparts.
Kadyrov said the article was aimed at the destabilization of the situation in the republic and spreading mistrust within the armed forces. He stated that soldiers, representing different military departments, successfully carry out joint operations, and also added that soldiers, who took part in the operation will probably sue the newspaper which published the article.
