Turkish PM criticizes Syrian leader

 

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in Gabon that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s democratic statements could not be recognized while he was suppressing the population with bombs and air attacks.

The Turkish PM noted that violence in Syria was escalating every day and caused deaths of 50,000 people. About 600,000 people left Syria, 2.5 million left their homes, Erdogan reminded.
