Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the Chernigov National University that the Eurasian Economic Union was open for members of EurAsEC and CIS, RIA Novosti reports.
He said that the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space had boosted investments, business and opening of new workplaces. Unemployment dropped by about 20% in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
Lavrov believes that integration in the EU and Eurasian space goes according to the same rules.
Russia wants to develop Eurasian integration to form single economic and human space from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. Such process was boosted at the OSCE summit in Astana in 2010.
