Russia has announced it suspended consular activities in the Syrian city of Aleppo, the Voice of Russia cites RIA Novosti as saying.
The embassy’s spokesperson told reporters Tuesday the Russian consulate general would remain closed indefinitely.
The source said the Russian embassy in the capital of Damascus would take over all consular activities.
