30 hostages killed in Algeria

 

6-hour assault of a residential building occupied by terrorists in Algeria has ended with 30 hostages killed, including 8 Algerians, two Brits, two Japanese, a Frenchman and two other foreigners, ITAR-TASS reports.

11 terrorists were killed, including leader of the Sons of the Desert for Islamic Justice and Abdullah Uld Ahmid, head of Abu al-Baraa militant group.

The militants entered Algeria from Libya. They demanded the operation in Mali to be stopped and their supporters released from prisons.
