Georgian Patriarch to meet with Russian President in Moscow

Patriarch of Georgia Ilia the Second will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to representatives of the Georgian Patriarchate, the meeting will be held on January 23, Trend reports.

The meeting will be attended by Russian Patriarch Kirill.

The Patriarch of Georgia has already left for Moscow. Along with him the personal  representative of the prime minister of Georgia, Vakhtang Abashidze, also headed to Moscow.

In Moscow, Ilya II the Second will be awarded with the Patriarch Alexei the Second Prize for the spiritual unity of Russia and Georgia. The award is to be assigned by the International Public Union Foundation.

On 21 January, the 13th annual awards ceremony will be led by Patriarch of Russia Kirill.
