Scotland Yard has published information about Sharia patrols organized by Islamists in London, Sunday Times reports.
The patrols are mainly seen in the outer areas of London at night. Groups of radical religious people were “protecting Muslim territories” from people showing bad behavior and were seen attacking people. Their targets were people drinking alcohol or wearing unsuitable clothes and advertisements.
They have published videos of their progress on YouTube.
The police have enforced their presence in the eastern parts of the city. The police say that the Islamic patrols may be part of the Islam4UK organization. Membership in the organization became a crime in 2010 with a punishment of up to 10 years.
