Turkey considers temporary border opening with Armenia

Turkey does not rule out the possibility of a temporary Turkish-Armenian border opening within the framework of joint NATO exercises in the period of 11-17 September 2010, Turkish Foreign Ministry Press Secretary Burak Ozugergin officially declared, reports 1news.az .

According to Mr Ozugergin, Turkey is discussing the temporary opening of the border to provide access for the country’s military equipment to the “Armenia 2010” joint exercise. He pointed out that this joint exercise is part of the NATO “Partnership for Peace” program, aimed at dealing with the consequences of emergency situations.
