Rostov Oblast may produce about 7 million tonnes of grain this year, declared governor Vasily Golubev, Interfax reports.
Despite the drought caused by extraordinary heat in many regions of the Russian Federation, the grain crop production indicator is predicted to stay within the norm. 42% of the crop is already harvested.
As the drought didn't affect the Rostov Oblast, and grain stocks amount to about 360 thousand tonnes, there will be no rise in crop prices.
