40 people arrested in Iran
Forty people were arrested in Iran on suspicion of participation in the act of terror near the mosque in Zahedan city, ITAR-TASS reports. They are charged with "attempt to jeopardize the city's security after the terrorist attack". Thousands of people are gathering to commemorate the victims of the tragedy. On the evening of July 15th in Zahedan, the capital of the province of Sistan and Baluchestan, two acts of terror were perpetrated. 27 people were killed and 169 were injured, including 12 policemen and some members of the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution. The first explosion, triggered by a suicide bomber, occurred near the gates of the mosque after the Salah-prayer, the other one - after ambulance services arrived. The Iranian Sunni terrorist organisation "Jundallah" claimed responsibility for these acts of terror. It stated that these actions were taken to avenge the execution of their leader.
