Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev appointed Saken Zhasuzakov, former Chief of CSTO Staff, as the Kazakh Chief of General Staff and Ruslan Zhaksylykov, Commander of the Internal Troops, as the Chief of the Internal Troops of the Interior Ministry.
Kayrat Kozhamzharov, former Governor of the Akmola Region, has become an assistant of Nazarbayev and Secretary of the Kazakh National Security Council.
