President of South Ossetia visits Nicaragua and Venezuela

An official delegation headed by Eduard Kokoyty, the president of South Ossetia, has left for Nicaragua and Venezuela. The official visit will take place from the 17th to the 25th of July, the president's administration told Interfax on Saturday.
On the 17th of July Eduard Kokoyty will visit Nicaragua, where he will attend festivities celebrating the 31th anniversary of the Nicaraguan Revolution, and will meet with Daniel Ortega, the president of Nicaragua, to sign several intergovernmental agreements.
The South Ossetian delegation will visit Caracas by invitation of Hugo Chavez, the president of Venezuela, where bilateral meetings will take place. The president's administration informed that negotiations with representatives of the Cuban government are possible. Nicaragua and Venezuela have recognized the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The ambassadors of the two countries delivered their credentials in July.
