Tbilisi to host first Russian-Georgian Journalism School

 

Tbilisi will open the first Russian-Georgian Journalism School, called Modern Journalism and Advanced Information Technologies, organized by the North-South Center for Political Analysis and the Caucasian Cooperation Partnership.

The Ambassador Hotel will host a meeting of journalists of RIA Novosti, Radio Mayak, Russki Reportyor magazine, Moskovskiye Novosti and Vestnik Kavkaza on February 4-8.

Specialists of MGIMO and MSU will meet Georgian experts and give lectures on modern tendencies and prospects of mass media development, and discuss South Caucasus at a round-table conference.

Journalists of South Caucasus, including Georgia, will be given an opportunity to attend the regional School of Young Journalists of South Caucasus in Sochi, basing on the essay contest on the final day of the school.

Journalists aged 20-35 with work experience are welcome to attend the Russian-Georgian Journalism School and may send applications until February 1, 2013.
