Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum of Davos Klaus Schwab said that Baku will host the forum in April 2013. Schwab expressed hope that the forum will contribute to cooperation and integration in South Caucasus and Middle Asia.
Besides meetings of business and governmental officials in Switzerland, the World Economic Forum includes regional talks to set priorities and prospects of economic development.
World leaders, heads of large international companies make reports and declarations at the forum, the way it is done in China annually. One of the latest regional meetings of the forum was held in Abu Dhabi in October 2011.
Baku will be given an opportunity to present its economic achievements and participation in global economic developments.
