Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said that his meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at the 43rd session of the World Economic Forum in Davos was brief, but will happen again. Ivanishvili noted that he had a strategic plan to restore relations with Russia, RIA Novosti reports.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin and Georgian special envoy of the PM for settlement of relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze met in Geneva in late December 2012, making the first Russian-Georgian official contact since 2008.
Ivanishvili emphasized the need to restore air links between the two states. Companies are collecting documents to return to the Russian market.
