Advisor of Iranian supreme leader wants one-round elections

Ali Akbar Velayati, former Interior and Foreign Minister of Iran, incumbent special advisor of the Iranian supreme leader, said that the situation in the country was unstable and it would be best to have one-round elections.

Iran will hold presidential polls on June 14, 2013. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will not run for re-election, as he has been in office for two presidential terms.
