Israeli forces attack Syrian research center

The Syrian military said that Israeli Air Forces had attacked a research center at the Damascus Province near the border of Lebanon. Two people died and five were injured, RIA Novosti reports.

The Israeli Air Forces attacked a truck with missiles and anti-missile systems heading to Lebanon.

Jamray may store chemical weapons and the truck may have been part of a convoy carrying them. The research center had been attacked by oppositionist forces earlier.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called the attack a violation of the UN Charter and urged violence in Syria to be stopped. Russia demands all foreign interference to stop and a Syrian dialogue to start according to agreements reached in Geneva on June 30, 2012.
