A project to develop aircraft fuel production will increase automobile fuel production and make Iran self-sufficient in production of aircraft and helicopter fuel, Mehr reports.
President Ahmadinejad also will inaugurate the new expansion phase of the Abadan oil refinery. With the opening of the new refinery and the Shazand refinery (RFCC) gasoline production complex, Euro 4 and Euro5 type gasoline production will increase to 30 million liters daily.
Considering the new expansion and reconstruction, Iran will join exporting countries for commercial jet fuel, and will become self-sufficient in production of helicopter, and training and agricultural airplane fuel.
Currently, Iran is one of the largest producers of passenger, cargo and jet plane fuel. Helicopter fuel is a byproduct of this new refinery project.
Estimates indicate that the starti of the operation of an alkylation unit at the Abadan refinery will increase production to 2 million liters of helicopter fuel daily.
The Abadan refinery produces helicopter fuels according to the world’s latest fuel standards.
