Human Rights Watch worries about situation in Russia

The year 2012 was the worst one since the collapse of the USSR from the point of view of human rights, Human Rights Watch says in its annual report.

The pressure on human rights advocates and civil activists increased dramatically after Vladimir Putin was elected president for the third term. 

Human Rights Watch especially criticized the recent laws concerning political rallies, non-governmental organizations and the so-called 'gay propaganda'.
