Turkish police take precautions against risk of second blast

Police have taken wide-ranging precautions outside the U.S. Embassy building in the Turkish capital of Ankara after a suspected suicide bomb attack at the site reportedly killed two people and wounded at least two others, Hurriyet Daily News informs.

One of those killed was the attacker, reports said.

Police have cordoned off a large area to prevent possible further attacks. Officers have closed Paris Street, which leads to the embassy and are refusing to allow reporters onto the scene. Security guards are patrolling side streets around the area, while at least one police helicopter is scanning the area.

The German and French embassies are located close to the U.S. embassy.
