Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has published an audio recording of a conversation between ex-prosecutor Sayid Mortazavi and Fazel Larijani, brother of Speaker of Parliament Ali Larijani, Fars News reports.
According to the audio, Fazel Larijani offered the prosecutor charged with responsibility for deaths of convicts support in exchange for participation in business projects.
Ahmadinejad added, supporting the impeached Labour Minister Abdulreza Sheikholislam, that he had 24-25 hours of records of conversations.
Ali Larijani denied corruption and emphasized that the affair had nothing to do with the minister. He plans to sue Ahmadinejad and the ex-prosecutor for false information.
Sadeg Larijani, brother of Fazel and Ali Larijani, is the head of the country’s judicial system.
