United National Movement sets conditions for "Georgian Dream"

The members of the former ruling party of Georgia "United National Movement" declared that they will be willing to support the initiative of the parliamentary majority to limit the right of President Mikhail Saakashvili regarding the dismissal of the parliament and the government in case they adopt a constitutional amendment on the inviolability of the chosen foreign policy direction.

Based on the Georgian constitution, the president has the right to dismiss the legislature, with the exception of the period which falls within six months before the presidential election, and six months after parliamentary elections. The parliamentary elections were held in Georgia on October 1, 2012.
The Prime Minister of Georgia Bridzina Ivanishvili has called Saaskavili's initiative "ridiculous" and said that such bill will not be accepted, RIA-Novosti reports.
