Congressman Justin Amash has accused senator John McCain of racism for comparing Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with a monkey on Twitter, RIA Novosti reports.
Iran launched a monkey into space last week and Ahmadinejad expressed willingness to become the first Iranian astronaut yesterday.
McCain was the main opponent of President Barack Obama during the elections in 2008. He spoke for booting Russia from the G8 and compared its authorities with the regime of Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi.
