Honorary police officers to monitor Iranian presidential polls

 

Honorary police officers will monitor the presidential polls of Iran for the first time, Iranian Police Chief Esmail Ahmadi Mohaddam said today, adding that the officers were undergoing training for the process.

Iran will elect the 7th president on June 14, 2013. He will succeed President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who cannot be re-elected for the third term, according to the Constitution.
