OSCE calls sides of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to show political will

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara chairing the OSCE has urged the sides of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenia and Azerbaijan, to show political will in order to achieve progress in the peace talks.

Leonid Kozhara had met co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov (Russia), Jacques Faure (France) and Ian Kelly (USA) and his personal representative Andrzej Kasprzyk to discuss the Paris talks of Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alexander Mishchenko said today that Ukraine considered the OSCE a unique platform for the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process. One of the key priorities of Ukraine in the OSCE was support of resolution of long-term territorial conflicts. He added that Kozhara was planning to discuss the problem in Azerbaijan in the first half of 2013.
