Iran refuses to discuss nuclear program with US

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has refused to have direct talks about the nuclear program with the US, RIA Novosti reports.

US Vice President Joseph Biden had said at the Munich security conference last week that Washington had not scrapped direct negotiations of the nuclear program with Iran. He said that a clear agenda had been needed.

Iranian Ambassador to Russia Sayed Mahmoud Reza Sajadi said yesterday that Tehran did not believe in Biden’s statement. He questioned Russian officials about sincerity of US words, success of improving Russian-US relations and trust between Russia and western states.
