Israel may open its borders to Turkish and Jordanian vehicles

The Israeli authorities are considering the possibility of opening the country's borders to Turkish and Jordanian lorry drivers, the VK correspondent there has been told.

The idea was suggested by Israeli economists and cabinet members after the Egyptian revolution, which led to some changes in traditional trading routes.

The idea was discussed by top Israeli officials at a closed-door meeting. Some ministers opposed the initiative, remembering anti-Israeli statements made recently by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
