Azerbaijani President says goodbye to Mahmud Kerimov

Mahmud Kerimov's lying-in-state ceremony took place today in the main
building of the National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). The ceremony was
attended by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The lying-in-state ceremony of the famous scientist was also attended
by his colleagues at the ANAS, parliamentarians and intellectuals.
Deputy Prime Minister Elchin Efendiyev, opening the mourning ceremony,
spoke about the life of the outstanding scientist and noted that his
death is a great loss to Azerbaijani science.

The President expressed his deepest condolences to the family of Kerimov.
