Stavropol residents are urged to remain calm

ThThe press service of the Stavropol regional parliament has issued a
statement prepared by the heads of the Duma faction of Stavropol in association with recent unrest which was caused by a stabbing
incident.

The appeal urges residents of Stavropol to demonstrate "wisdom and
love" for their native Stavropol as well as to "avoid actions that can
lead to extremism, violence, ethnic and religious intolerance.
"Stavropol is an integral and inseparable part of the North Caucasus,"
the statement published at the Stavropol city portal 1777.ru reads.

The appeal also urges citizens of Stavropol to remain calm and
maintain understanding and peace.
