Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych said after negotiations with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Ashkhabad that Ukraine needed gas and will help organize alternate routes for gas to Europe.
Tanukovych arrived in Ukraine with a two-day visit. He will discuss trade-economic, energy, construction and scientific cooperation. A joint statement and a package of intergovernmental agreements will be signed.
