G20 financial authorities to visit Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin will welcome G20 ministers for finances and presidents of Central Banks at the Kremlin today to discuss global economic and financial developments, efforts to boost world economy and restore faith in financial markets, RIA Novosti reports.

They will also talk about realization of the framework agreement on sustainable and balanced growth, reforming of the international financial architecture and regulation.

Putin said on December 1 that the main goal of Russia as the G20 chair was to stimulate economic growth and open workplaces. Russia will introduce the topics of financial investments and sovereign debt management.

The ministers and presidents of Central Banks will compose proposals on elimination of obstacles of investments and modernization of government debts. The ideas will become the basis for recommendations for the G20 summit in Saint-Petersburg.
