Iran plans to establish naval base near Pakistani border

Iran plans to establish a new naval base in Pasabandar on the Pakistani-Iranian border, Admiral Habibollah Sayyari told IRNA on Sunday, Trend reports.

He said that new base would be established in the waters of Iran's northern territories to improve the country defense system.

Sayyari said that until now Iran had no military presence in the area.
