In the Israeli Knesset face-off between the Arab and Russian deputies takes shape

The Arab members of the Israeli legislature (Knesset) blame their "Russian" counterparts for the creation of the "Russian camp”. Deputy from the Arab party, Ahmad Tibi, who traditionally oppose immigrants from the CIS countries, is irritated the presence of Russian deputies in the Knesset. At least 10 of the 120 members of the Israeli Knesset, came from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Central Asia states and other CIS countries. It is rather typical that, being members of opposing parties, the Russian-speaking deputies come out with an enviable accord on certain issues, Israeli media reports.

Meanwhile, the activities of Russian deputies and ministers led to a real increase of state income. Active efforts to abolish entrance visas to Israel for tourists from Russia led to a all-time high attendance level of  400 thousand people, who visited Israel, and, as a result, to a powerful upsurge in the travel industry.

Meantime, the confrontation between the Russian and the Arab MPs is growing against the background of escalation of tension on the southern border of Israel, which has been shelled  by missiles for more than a week  from the Gaza Strip, the territories of the Palestinian National Authority, which is controlled by the Hamas movement. The Arab MPs  traditionally justified their actions, but  the Russian MPs  patriotically disposed and express disapproval of the position of the Arab MPs, which causes weakening of their conditions.
