Free privatization in Russia extended until 2015

The lower chamber of the Russian parliament has passed the bill on extension of privatization in three readings today. Privatization has been extended until March 1, 2015, RIA Novosti reports.

Free privatization had started in 1992 and has already been extended twice. Its previous terms were to come to an end on March 1, 2013.

Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of President Vladimir Putin, had said last week that the president had been willing to extend the law by two years. The bill had been introduced to the parliament the following day.
