Georgian defence minister to hold talks at NATO headquarters

Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Alasania is now on an official visit to Brussels. The Georgian Defence Ministry said the minister will attend a meeting of defence ministers of NATO member-states.

Alasania will hold meetings with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, his deputies, as well as the NATO representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai and commander of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force, General Joseph Dunford.

Along with other representatives of the countries participating in NATO operations in Afghanistan which are not NATO members, the Georgian Defence Minister will take part in a NATO meeting.

Alasania will also hold several bilateral meetings with defence ministers of NATO member-states and its partners.
