Iranian ex-Minister for Information Ali Fallahian said that he was planning to run for president under the slogan of “Advanced Islamic State”, hoping for support of the conservatives.
The former minister is a member of the Council of Experts. He used to be responsible for national security and intelligence.
Iran will have presidential polls on June 14, 2013. The main candidates for president are Gholam-Ali Haddad Adel, former Speaker of Iranian Parliament, Ali Akbar Velayati,Chief Advisor of the Iranian supreme leader and former Foreign Minister, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Mayor of Tehran, and Ali Larijani, incumbent Speaker of the Iranian Parliament.
