Hillary Clinton's message says when she was Secretary of State it was an honour for her to watch how the Georgian Prime Minister and his colleagues were able to ensure a peaceful transition of power and start the process of cohabitation.
"In 2011, our countries marked the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Georgia has taken an important step in democratic development and in terms of the Euro-Atlantic integration. The U.S. is glad to be near Georgia during the peaceful transfer of power which could not take place without your participation," the letter says.
