Russian security services say extremism less popular in North Caucasus

The head of Russia's Federal Security Service, Alexander Bortnikov, said that nowadays extremist ideas are less popular in the North Caucasus than before.

50 militants were killed in 2013, including 14 militant leaders. 66 militants were arrested, the official said.
