Putin pays tribute to Russian soldiers who died in Chechnya

Russian President Vladimir Putin has paid tribute to Russian soldiers of the Pskovskaya Division, who died 13 years ago near the Chechen settlement of Ulus-Kert.

The soldiers died in a battle with militants led by Khattab.

"International terror has started a war against Russia. The aim of the militants was to break Russia up. These heroes refused to step back and remained loyal to their Motherland," the president said.
