The scale of illegal migration in Kazakhstan annually reached 200-300
thousand foreigners, the Minister of Economy and Budget
Planning of the country Erbolat Dosayev said today.
"Combating illegal international migration will be one of the main
activities of the government," Dosayev said.
According to officials, the Majilis introduced a draft law "On
amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of
Kazakhstan on issues of labor migration", which provides for the
legalization and improvement of the order to attract certain
categories of migrant workers in order to work in Kazakhstan.
The bill clearly defines the types of activities for which the permit
is necessary.
