Heritage Party leader Raffi Ovannisyan, a candidate for president with the second highest amount of votes, says that the Central Electoral Commission has not returned his deposit of $19,500 for getting over 5% of votes.
According to the rules, candidates receive their money back in a week after the elections. Ovannisyan has been waiting for 15 days.
Arman Melikyan, Paruyr Ayrikyan, Andreas Gukasyan, Vardan Sedrakyan and Grant Bagratyan lost a little less than $100,000 in total for failing to get 5% of votes.
