Major-General Hasan Firozabadi, head of the Iranian General Staff of the Armed Forces promised resistance to aggressive attempts of the US, Saudi Arabia or any other country in the territorial waters of the Gulf.
The statement was a response to General James Mattis, Commander of the US Armed Forces in the Middle East. The US general said at the Senate Committee of the Armed Forces yesterday that the sanctions had not stopped the Iranian nuclear program.
