Ukrainian Minister for Energy and Coal Industry Eduard Stavitsky is on a two-day visit to Azerbaijan to discuss cooperation with Azerbaijani Minister for Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev, the ministry reports.
The ministers signed a bilateral intergovernmental deal in Davos in January 2011 on transit of oil through Ukraine, deliveries of liquefied gas to Ukraine, construction of the Eurasian Oil Corridor and the Odessa-Brody-Plotsk-Gdansk Pipeline.
Stavitsky will be accompanied by Victor Mayko, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister and co-chair of the bilateral commission for economic cooperation, representatives of Metinvest, Altcom and Interbudmontazh.
