Dagestani acting Leader Ramazan Abdulatipov said at a meeting with Vnesheconombank, MSP Bank and MSP Leasing yesterday that the republic needed to focus on business stimulation. The main goal is to give people jobs.
The official called for popularization of small credits in Dagestan. For instance, $500 in Tajikistan was considered a good start.
Abdulatipov ordered each governmental functionary to name 5-7 priorities of economic development, stressing on small and medium business. He called for overcoming negative banking practice of the past 20 years when loans were granted at an interest rate of 20-30% annually and obliged clients to return 30% of the sum when receiving loans.
Abdulatipov added that 50 presidential projects for small and medium business will be developed in the near future. The republic was stabilizing the situation and had chances for economic success and prosperity.
Moreover, the Dagestani leader noted that 98% of the republic’s population wanted to be part of Russia.
The meeting was attended by Dagestani Vice Premier Abusupyan Kharkharov, chairman of the committee for development of small and medium business Magomed Shabanov, director of the department for support of small and medium business of Vnesheconombank Alexey Eskindarov, director of the Vnesheconombank office in Pyatigorsk Arsan Demelkhanov, deputy chairman of the board of the Russian Bank for Support of Small and Medium Business Dmitry Golovanov, deputy chairman of the board of MSP Bank Peter Tarasov.
