Security officials and energy company chiefs will be dismissed if there are more attacks on infrastructure like Wednesday's bombing of a North Caucasus hydropower plant, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday, RIA Novosti reports.
Gunmen set off four explosive devices at the Baksan Hydropower Plant in the republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, killing two security guards. The blaze from the subsequent blast covered an area of 250 square meters.
"Law enforcement and security agencies and [energy] companies, as well as the government, must do all they can to make sure that such things do not happen again. If they do, none of the law enforcement, security and energy company chiefs will keep their jobs. All of them will be sacked," Medvedev said.
