The Israeli government has apologised to Turkey for the killing of nine of its citizens during a raid on an aid flotilla heading to Gaza three years ago. The Israeli statement was made right after US president Barack Obama's visit to the country, Euronews reports.
The storming of the aid flotilla by Israeli forces as it tried to break the Israeli blockade to Palestine caused a major crisis in Turkish-Israeli relations.
