Georgian parliament votes for reduction of compulsory military service

On Friday Georgian lawmakers voted unanimously in support of amendments to the country's military service law. These amendments aim to reduce the period of compulsory military service from 18 to 12 months, the Trend news agency informs.

These changes will also affect those who are already serving in the military.
