Exiled Russian tycoon Boris Berezovsky dies in UK

Exiled Russian tycoon Boris Berezovsky was found dead in his house in Surrey today. No further information has been reported so far.

Back in the 90s, Berezovsky was one of the closest associates of President Boris Yeltsin. The tycoon, who allegedly sponsored Vladirmir Putin's first presidential campaign, was subsequently a fierce critic of the Putin regime.

Berezovsky was accused of fraud and wanted in Russia and later moved to the United Kingdom, where he lived as a political refugee.

The tycoon believed that the Kremlin was trying to kill him and said that his associate Alexander Litvinenko was poisoned in 2006 instead of Berezovsky himself.
