The president of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, and the leaders of Abkazia and South Ossetia, who are now paying a visit to this South American country, have discussed urgent questions regarding their mutual relations.
ITAR-TASS reports that several agreements, addressing the partnership between Transcaucasian republics and Venezuela, were signed in the presidential residence of Miraflores. Presidents Chávez, Kokoity (South Ossetia) and Bagapsh (Abkhazia) signed a treaty on establishment of diplomatic relations and other documents, stipulating political consultations between the countries, as well as cooperation in the fields of economy, agriculture, energy and trade.
The joint declaration of the three presidents states their firm will to strengthen "the ties of friendship and cooperation in the spheres of politics, economy and culture".
